The National Health Commission has officially released the “Equipment Configuration Standard for County-level Comprehensive Hospitals” (WS/T 819—2023), which sets out the basic principles for the configuration of equipment costing more than 10,000 yuan in county-level comprehensive hospitals.
This standard will be implemented from January 1, 2024.
The standard was drafted by the China Medical Equipment Association, Peking University First Hospital, Peking University People’s Hospital, and Beijing Hospital.
It proposes the basic principles of equipment configuration that are in line with the health needs of the people, in line with the scale and service volume, and scientifically reasonable. It also provides specific items and quantities of equipment configuration based on the scale of the hospital.
The release of the standard brings new opportunities for county-level comprehensive hospitals. It is based on clear departmental functional positioning and clinical pathways, and scientifically and reasonably configures the medical equipment required by each department based on the safety and effectiveness of medical equipment.
At the same time, based on the number of beds and data research conducted by the hospital, the standard sets the equipment configuration quantities for county-level comprehensive hospitals of different scales, covering 41 departments, including primary and secondary departments, with a total of 402 equipment items.
The goal of this standard is to guide the rational and appropriate configuration of medical equipment in county-level comprehensive hospitals, avoid blind and excessive duplication of equipment, and provide a solid guarantee for the functional positioning of county-level comprehensive hospitals. The 1+X Medical Consortium (central hospital leading X primary/community centers within the region) is an emerging efficient closed-loop management model in recent years.
The official website of the Wuxi Branch of Ruijin Hospital reported the cooperation service of its “One-stop Efficient Diagnosis and Treatment Center for Cough and Asthma.”
As one of the key projects of the “Taihu Talent Project” in the Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine Department of the Wuxi Branch of Ruijin Hospital, the Ruijin Wuxi Cough and Asthma Management Center (CWMC) was established in May 2023 and has become a national demonstration base! The construction concept focuses on chronic cough, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and respiratory comorbidities, and provides convenient one-stop efficient diagnosis and treatment for cough patients by optimizing the outpatient diagnosis and treatment pathway for cough patients.
The hospital has introduced a new model of digital construction and management, focusing on patients with chronic cough, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and respiratory comorbidities. By optimizing the outpatient diagnosis and treatment pathway for cough patients, it provides convenient one-stop efficient diagnosis and treatment.
By developing standardized examination packages and examination processes, it improves the diagnosis rate of respiratory chronic diseases. By establishing a multidisciplinary cooperation model, it realizes specialized chronic disease management and standardized follow-up.
This effectively enhances the capacity of county-level hospitals and improves their medical service capabilities, promoting the high-quality development of county-level hospitals and the implementation of the Healthy China goals during the 14th Five-Year Plan. Chuan Yi Medical can provide hospitals with intelligent primary respiratory solution systems. These intelligent respiratory support and guarantee solutions provide intelligent respiratory support to enhance the service capabilities of county-level comprehensive hospitals.
